solution SolvedNew build, loading windows, something pops, smoke, now machine is dead solution New PC components and now after loading a game my sound (speakers) goes fuzzy. Click on Run, then look in the right hand pane for any items containing the text NEWDOT. The file is normally placed in C:\Windows\ and run silently at start-up (via Rundll32) by a Run key placed in the Windows registry. Um, yes, there is, and it is well known to cause issues.
