I the created a new flight plan (different from the default one) and flew this one without any problem. FSX is just telling you its having problems finding the initial file as you have over written it with a new file. The flight plan system is the same in FSX. then create and save aflight plan with a unique name... have a peek here The flight plan will not be used" ....

You must have changed something along the way and then overwritten the file.
